Xerox Innovation Still Leads the Pack
Buy a Copier from and Innovator
Silicon Valley began in a garage in 1938. Today that garage is a Palo Alto historic site, marking the first corporate offices of the technology company known as Hewlett Packard. Founded by two friends William “Bill” Hewett and Dave Packard, the company is the world’s largest maker of personal computers. Hewitt and Packard began by making sound testing equipment, scientific calculators, and many of the earliest versions of computers. A fewer years later the duo moved out of their garage and into a new headquarters. For the next eighty plus years Hewlett Packard (HP) has continued to innovate.
HP has always been on the forefront of technology. In the 1970’s, a young Steve Wozniak, while working at HP, developed a desktop computer. Wozniak went on to partner with Steve Jobs to create Apple. In the 1980’s, working with Cannon, HP developed the first commercially successful laser jet printers. And soon thereafter HP created revolutionary all in one printers which included an Ethernet connections, fax capabilities, and a built in scanner.
